Abstract
The harp is an unusual and very ancient musical instrument distinct in appearance and sound. All analyzed poets describe special, magical harp melodies. It may be explained by a broad performance range of the instrument. Semantics of harp image implies the following units: “water”, “expression of feelings”, “soul”, “air”, “wind”, etc. This image in a poetical discourse is realized so that it becomes a crossing point of expressive potentials of music, literature and culture.
